I was riding my bike to my friend's show and had a camera in my pocket so I decided to see what I could do with oncoming traffic and a steep hill. :)

Tell me what ya think.

p.s., Rotty/anyone that lives in the NJ/PA/NY area, that's Rt. 78 in the backround if you're wondering for a perspective. :)

I think it's nice, and I'm not really sure where that is. Pretty far west out on 78, right?

Aye. The farthest mountain you can see in the pic is Pennsylvania. About 10-15 miles away.

The pic could have also been taken somewhere in the flatter parts of southern Germany. Odd.

Ah, another panorama!  Very nice indeed!  ;)
Fun making them, isn't it?

I have two tips for you that could probably make it even better, if you don't mind.  First, I would suggest taking the individual pictures vertically, that way you can capture more of what's down low and up high.  Second, I recommend using the 'manual' mode on your camera to lock the exposure, that way the brightness is nice and even across the entire picture.

Speaking of that, maybe I'll have time to make another panorama this weekend.   Haven't had much time left over after school lately.  :(

That's excellent. I must try this myself. Thanks for tips notloste.

Also not far from where I'm sitting now. I found some parts of NY State reminded me very much of home. A complete contrast to Manhattan which is the impression most people have of New York.

Yes indeed. Even New Yorkers forget that not only is much of NY State hilly or mountainous, it's largely wilderness. Adirondack State Park (which begins about an hour's drive NW of, say, Old Rhinebeck), an area set aside "forever" to be undeveloped, is larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Great Smoky Mtns., Grand Canyon, and the Everglades state parks combined... 6 million acres. Some real mountains up there, too- like Mt. Marcy, with a peak elevation of just over 5000 ft. MSL. Lovely wild country, with just a few small towns scattered around.
But of course we're looking at pics of New Jersey (the "Garden State")... also surprises people from the NYC area who always assumed the entire state was like the NY metro waterfront area- cities and refineries and junkyards. Most of it is very rural, although the land is rapidly being gobbled up by more and more condo villages, malls, etc.

That would be Long Island!  ;)
