That T-45 looks pretty nice for a trainer.......heck, I'd even put my name in for a training flight..... ;)

Nicely done Jared. You really captured the character without showing the complete aircraft. That's something I find very difficult.

PS. The T-45 is basically a carrier version of the BAe Hawk.

Why is the Maserati-symbol used on the engine-covers of the F-18?

Great shots there Jared ;)
Oh and the Maserati symbol was originally the trident of Neptune, God of the sea in Roman mythology. Methinks that is why it is on a carrier based aircraft... nothing to do with overpriced cars that breakdown with annoying regularity (but do look jolly nice) ;)

VERY nice shots...I like the angle on the first one...

The bird in the 3rd shot stirs up some memories...a minature vomit comit...Crewchief training on a UC-12 (KingAir 200), to show you what the acft do, they REALLY put it through it's paces. Not sure if that is one of the converted UC-12s, or one of the actuall T-44s (KingAir F90)

As to the tridents...that acft belongs to VFA-82 Marauders  based out of MCAS Beauford, SC. Looks like that might be there last public appearance, there website http://www02.clf.navy.mil/vfa82/ list they are suppost to decommision on the 30 of this month. The Navy is switching over from the C model to the F Super Hornet if memory serves correctly.

You can expect to see more of these decommisions here soon, especially with the EA-6s...most of the Navy ones will be coming to the Marines, we have 20 acft TOTAL spread out in 4 sqdns with an insane op tempo, to be used for spare parts and to increase the number of acft per squadron.  Just another addition to the "Do more with Less" attidude.
