Actually, three. Alliteration is fun.

I know he has an inkling for the Be-103. They have three at Sky Manor for sale. $29,999.99.. Anyone interested?

That's all for me today.
By the way, those first two are in the upload queue for airliners.net.. Ever hopeful.

Enjoy
James

I'm a tad worried about that first kite, seems to have sucked up a seat cushion

Cool! Your pictures came out a lot better than mine did, thanks for posting these.

$30,000? For some reason I thought they went for $700,000. I might just have to look into getting one... in about 20 years.

At that price, they're affordable, but ...... what condition are they in and what's the support (parts - technical support) disposition.
My supposition is that these are well-used pre-production machines used on sales tours, and when no significant sales were forthcoming, they were deemed less expensive to leave that return "home".
On the other hand, if they are in good flying condition, it is quite a fine airplane. It would probably be in its element as a flying taxi.

I talked to the guy that sells them at Oshkosh. He is an official Beriev dealer (the only one in the US as far as I know) and he had them flown over from Russia with the intent to sell them. And you right, air taxi was my first thought.

Very cool. Good price, too, i guess... but who knows how worn-out they are, or what one can expect from those engines...wonder what's under those cowlings, anyway?
They shouldn't stuff that "raw" foam in there like that; UV light makes that stuff crumbly, and I'm sure little bits are getting all over those engines. Messy.

I was talking to the pilot of that blue one and he said that they do that to prevent birds from nesting in there.
Even messier.

Engines are Continental IO-360... single and twin Radial (M-14P) versions are 'in development'.
It's build in the same factory as the Su-27, far away in Siberia (Komsomolsk-na-Amur)
Construction quality: milspec with titanium parts and special seaplane aluminium

Ivan: thanx for the engine info;
Rimshot: I guess it's better than birds, but one can get pretty cheap foam plugs that have weatherproof fabric... I just think that raw rubber is too "ghetto".

We used newspaper in the old days. Primitive but it did the job.
