B-17 & B-24 at KTTN

Greetings All!!  Here are some shots of The Collings
Foundation's B-17 & B-24.  They were at the Trenton/
Mercer airport ( KTTN ).  I have plenty more i want to
share.  Hope you like them.

They make a beautiful sound that sends chills down
your spine.  I can't imagine 21 to 24 starting up at
the same time.  Must have been awsome.

According to the CAF's website, the P&W 1830-94 as fitted on a B-24 consumed 200 gph (average) out of the plane's 3,000-gal. tanks. Times four engines that's 800 gph!
Another fun factoid: the oil sump for each of these big engines held 68 gallons of oil...!
