Some from the album

Well, it's Bank Holiday weekend & no air shows in my part of the country. :'( Bad show that as there's at least three next weekend. ::) Still, the weather's not exactly brilliant.

I realised that my camera is now one year old. Got it just before the RAFA show last year. Over the last few days I've been busy sorting out the 1,000s of photos I've taken with it. Found a few little gems I'd forgotten about. Also a lot of rubbish. Thought I'd post some of my better efforts as the newer members won't have seen them. I've 'remixed' them (as they say in the music industry) & saved the images at a higher resolution so they will look slightly different even if I've posted them before. I usually do this in a hurry & crop them to get as many as possible in one thread. For a starter here's the 30s biplanes from the Shuttleworth Collection taken at various shows since this time last year.

The Hawker Hind. One of Sydney Camm's classic range of biplane fighters & bombers.

Gloster Gladiator. Last of the biplane fighters.

A very rare sight. These are the only airworthy examples of these beautiful aircraft in the world.

Hope you like 'em. ;)

Just fantastic. The first shot is a real gem and the first Gladiator shot is stunning. Looking forward to Duxford in a couple of weeks now and I can't wait to see what you can come up with with. ;D

Wonderful as always Doug ;)

It is never tiring to see real aeroplanes (two or more wings and an oil dripping engine).

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
