Some randoms from 47N

Took the flight portion of my BFR today... in-flight pics were out of the question, as I was busy (see my "Real Aviation" post), but I took a few on the ground...
Was a good 40 mins. late getting there because of this: I think it was an enclosed car-carrier, but not sure. As usual, the biggest delay was due to all the dingbats slowing down to have a look... there were still two lanes open!!!  >:( ("Just go, idiots; the ambulance has left already...") :-/

After my flight, watched a couple of arrivals...

Not as close to the wires as it looks:

The proper way to land a C150 (thank God there are no pix of my landing!!):

Nice one. Did you forget to upload #2?

#3 could almost be Popham.

As usual, the biggest delay was due to all the dingbats slowing down to have a look..

We call this rubbernecking. Joe Public has an insatiable morbid curiosity. These idiots usually get in the way of the emergency services or cause more accidents.

Nope; decided not to. It was a shot of the runway taken from just outside the FBO; decided it wasn't good enough.

I'd say Central Jersey Regional is practically equivalent to Popham... a little "country" airport. There's also a soaring club there- something I'm going to look into, later.

Oddly enough, that's what we call it, too. It's infuriating... sure, one should slow down a little to make sure there's room, watch for debris, etc... but invariably after crawling for miles, I find that there was no need for things to grind to a halt, except so the rubberneckers could indulge their morbid curiosity.

Yes, other than the framing, it came out very nice for a very casual "what the heck" photo...
