Some odds and sods....
The Hungarian advanced trainer the L-39
The new Czech advanced trainer the L-159
Some twit brought this (I think they were hoping for sales orders), the Spirit. Anyone know anything about this? It did some aerial ballet that was so boring I nearly fell asleep

Probably won't be the success they see in it as there is a political bog looming in the distance (china - taiwan - eu)

The Ae270 Spirit looks very similar to the type of thing that killed one of the guys who crashed in the Mig-29s at Fairford...

I'd think it was a Socata TBM700 and the PC-12 has a t-tail.

The Ae270 Spirit looks very similar to the type of thing that killed one of the guys who crashed in the Mig-29s at Fairford...
Only thing that looks like the Ae270 is a Myashinev M-101 'Gzhel... and that's miles away from the Aeromist An-140 with the scanty clad lady on the tail that flew into the mountain while ferrying HESA officials to another airport as part of the license building program...

Yeah, looks just like a PC-12 as Ashar said, that's what I thought it was at first. Beautiful aircraft!

ok hopefully this will settle the argument on the last Picture:
The Ibis Aerospace Ae270 and the Socata TBM 700C2 are essentially the same aircraft just made by different manufacturers, the Ae270 is powered by a P&W Canada PT6A-66A with a 800hp shaft rating, and the TBM is powered by a P&W Canada PT6A-64A with a 700hp shaft rating.
Speed wise:
TBM: Max cruise speed @ sea Level: 300 KTAS 555kmh
Ae270: as above except for: 218 KTAS 404 kmh
Max Celiing:
TBM: 31,000 ft
AE270: 30,000ft
Max Range:
TBM: 1565 NM @ 31,000 ft
AE270: 1544 NM @ 30,000 ft
I'm going to leave the final decision up to you but i think the TBM is the overall winner.
