Sanicole Airshow

Postby Mr. Bones » Mon Aug 08, 2005 5:11 am

Hi,

Last Sunday the Sanicole Airshow was held. A small airshow here in Belgium, but they had some nice participants including a Spitfire, Mustang, B-1B, T-33, Gnat, Tornado, F-16 interception,...

With the sun right in front of you and some rain showers, this show is quite a challenge for photographers. Therefore the quality isn't that good, but it gives a nice impression.

In this topic I'll show you my two favourite aicrafts: the Bone and P-51D. The humid weather created some amazing condense on the Bone while the Merlin sound made the Mustang's display so beautiful.

Considering the conditions, very nice:) do you have a polarising filter for your lenses?

Don't use any filters right now. I think in these cloudy conditions, a polarizer won't do any better. It even forces you to use 1-2 stops longer exposure increasing the chance for unsharp photos. It's also not very easy to have the filter turned exactly as you want it to be. Therefore most of the pro's don't use them for aircraft photography. Maybe in the future I'll buy one...who knows.
