Los Straitjackets

No, the members here didn't form their own band.
Los Straitjackets is a surf band my dad and I both like and we got my mom hooked on 'em too. They really put on a good show, not with the fancy digital effects, but like doing the can-can or messing around with each other. It's fun. We went during Musikfest. Basically the same thing as Oktoberfest, but instead of beer, there was music.
There was still beer though.
Oh, and those masks are Mexican wrestling masks. The group is orignally from Nashville, Tennessee, but with a name "Los Straitjackets", the theme is to go along with the Latino feel.
And the guy in the silver mask spoke all in Spanish, even though he sounded like a fruit in the process.
Opening number

Not the original drummer. Dunno where he is. Oh, and the kit may look small, but the sounds this guy was able to produce were amazing.

Backup guitarist (Eddie Angel) doing a solo.

What I was talking about, about stage performance

Broken string! Look closely at his thigh (sp?) and you can see it dangling

On the fly. That takes talent, to replace a string in less than two minutes.

I'm going again to see them on Thursday. I ran out of battery last night so I'll charge 'em.
James (still groovin').
