On these shots i went on board a Sunderland, this is one the largest Flying passenger boat - - (thanks Hagar!)

Nice shots. I was lucky enough to see the Shorts Sunderland at Chatham and West Malling before it departed UK shores in 1989...

Errr. That's the Sunderland Jimbo. It's a flying boat, not an amphibian.

That kitchen looks just like the one in a certain Tu-152 I was in at Ferihegy last year!

Errm, Jimbo. It's not the largest flying boat in the world either. That honour goes to the Hughes H-4, the Spruce Goose. http://www.sprucegoose.org/aircraft_artifacts/exhibits.html

LOL Well, it's definitely the biggest flying boat in that museum - or in Florida come to that. Maybe I should apply for a job. I can think of a lot worse things to do.

I think that sign means it's the largest airworth flying boat left in the world these days ;) I saw this fly quite a few times back in the 80's.

The Sunderland was flown in there by Kermit Weeks himself but I don't think it's airworthy now.

PS. What about the Martin Mars water bombers in Canada?
