Midway through the holiday we took a trip down to polks city to the "fantasy of flight"
aviation museum. I have many shots form this place!
Try and guess any of these?

Looks like an Allison engined XVI with the bubble canopy. Proper engine in that thing Roger, none of that Griffon rubbish ;) ;D

Looks like an Allison engined XVI with the bubble canopy. Proper engine in that thing Roger, none of that Griffon rubbish ;) ;D

??? Allison? Surely you mean Packard Merlin?

Mk XVI TE476, one of Historic FLying Ltds ex gate guards (although I'm not sure if they restored it - it may have been PPS at Booker who did Kermit's other Spit and are doing his Tempest V)

The others are the only airworthy B-26 Marauder and a Bucker Bestmann... :)

Whoops big mistake there, sorry I was talking P-38s on the other screen and my brain got a bit crossed in the wires dept. I'll go get another cup of tea right now to revive the poor thing!

That first one is definately a Willys Jeep. The third I believe is an Me-108, possibly the one that appeared in The Great Escape?

That would be why it's a low level Spit then Mark, without a supercharger ;) ;D
