They had this type of cloud formation as a viewer photo during the local weather here a few days ago. I cant remember its name, now.

No glider pilots that I know of over there.  This side of the mountains isn't quite as active with aviation as the west side. lol  

Those clouds were pretty high though, I'm guessing tops around 10,000 feet.  

And yes, the sky is such a fun place!  I only wish I had my camera with me when I was on some of my IFR flights!  Nothing quite like flying right between two overcast layers of stratus clouds!  All you can see is a thin line of blue on the horizon.  Actually, it's kinda trippy because although both layers were parallel, both were pretty sloped. lol  Quite odd.  And then the occasional column of cumulous.  Kind of like a huge studio appartment. :D
