I decided spur of the moment to make the long trek to a city called Olathe over 50 miles from here, just for a small airshow. I think it was worth it, but I got a little lost on the way back , Anyway, heres Part One of two in no particular order. Enjoy.



I was infatuated with this Beech 18. One of my favorite FS planes finally seen in real life.


A PT-19. I found later, after it left, that they were giving rides in it for donations.


Vaultee Valient? I honestly don't remember.


An of course, A P-51. Later when he did a low pass on the airport, I was surprised at the speed and the awsome sound.

PS. Long trek? 50 miles is just a short hike. We think nothing of doing 500 miles every weekend during the season.

Doug, The first thing I thought of when I realized I was lost was 'Grumpy's Mystery Tours' And yes, this was a long trek to me, because I'm not used to the INSANE traffic when going through Kansas City.
