You got a picture the poster before they tore it apart... (or did someone take it as a souvenir)
Found any gold AK47's?

I was the gunner on the tank. I fired the 120 mm main gun and the 7.62 mm coax machine gun.
Don't know what happened to the poster, wish I had it though. No gold AK-47s either, we weren't allowed to touch anything we found...well, when there were officers around that is.

I know a guy that is over there now. This will be his second time being deployed to combat, this first time was in Kosovo. Anyway, interesting shots. I like the last two.

Nice photos, they bring back bad memories of my last holiday out there, never got to Baghdad though, the politicians wouldn't let us

Very nice to see another DAT in action! :) I also notice all the spent M-60 casings on top of the turret. Getting a little target practice, were we? ;)

Geez Kevin I hate to make you look old but we don't use the M60 anymore! It was replaced years ago by the FN M240G. What a great weapon, I put 10,000 rounds through my coax before I cleaned it once! Oh, and those are .50 cal on the turret, time to get the trifocals gramps!

J/K
Yeah Ozzy, if the damn politicians would have let you all do your job the first time we wouldn't have been in this mess. But don't worry, the Republican Guard put up just as much resistance this time. Too bad we wiped them out before they could see us.

Yeah, Kev, I was talking about the same ones! The 'Ma Deuce' kicks her shells all over the turret. You can tell by the big loop links. The loaders spent casings go into a collection box that he can then dump over the side, just like my coax inside.
The only thing that would really screw up the boresight on the M1-A1 would be hitting a house, and sometimes that doesn't even mess it up. Yes, I am speaking from experience, I had nailed many trees in Syracuse, NY when I was still a green gunner! I think that this photo was taken before we went to the Udari range to boresight anyways. Didn't matter, it was the CO's tank. I mean, how often does he actually shoot?!
