Fathers Day...

*sigh*... Well, I had thought Fathers Day was supposed to be about dad and what HE wanted, but I guess not. ;) The wifey knows I dislike amusement parks, but she insisted that we go last sunday, because my brother got some cheap tickets. Personally, since it was SUPPOSED to be my day, I would have rather sat home and played FS all day long while the wife fed me Coronas all day long (see last pic!).
But no. We had to go do this 'family' thing where you pay way too much money to get in, walk around in the heat all day then you wait for an hour to get on one ride. After which you pay $3.30 for a watered down diet coke, and $3.99 for some freakin cotton candy for the brother's step-kid who YOU got stuck babysitting while everyone else went on another ride...
But then we got to the waterpark, where I got stuck with the step-kids again (they all like me because I'm the cool uncle) and spent half my time babysitting them, and the other half looking for my wife...
It's a funny thing though. Watching all the people in the park as I sat on a bench, I noticed that NOBODY was smiling. Dozens, maybe hundreds of people walked by and not one person seemed to be enjoying themselves. Even the kids looked depressed...
The munchkins had a blast though...

Did I mention there were a lot of people there?

This is about 1/4 of the park from the top of a ride.

And the water park...

Well, at least the day wasn't a total loss. There was some nice scenery to look at... ;)
