Busy little airfield

Some typical sights at Popham yesterday. A unique reminder of what it used to be like in the "good ol' days". People flying just for the fun of it. Not too many vintage Cessnas turned up, probably due to weather conditions at their home airfields. There was still enough going on to keep me busy & lots of interesting people to chat to. What a delightful place this is, run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts to enjoy. Bliss. 8)

I'm posting these for no other reason than I like 'em. ;)

Ah, thanx, nothing like some Hagar vintage photos to make Monday morning more bearable...
What the heck is that first one? It really looks like a hodgepodge of other airplanes, yet has a nice look to it. And is it me, or are the wings forward-swept?

Better than you by the look of it. Bright sunshine when I arrived but it clouded over around lunchtime. It was almost dark when I left just after 5 pm. Still a very enjoyable day. ;)

Thanks. Glad to ease the stress of a fellow-enthusiast. ;)

It's registered as a HAPI CYGNET SF-2A. Might be a homebuilt. First time I've seen one myself & I had to look it up. All sorts of fascinating little flying machines visit Popham. Some are based there.

PS. The wings might be swept forward but I think it's more likely they have no sweep at all.
