Solberg open house..

Well I read in the paper today (yes I read the paper) that one of the local airports was having an open house to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Thor Solberg, the first pilot to fly from North America to Norway, re-creating the route of great Viking explorer Leif Ericson made by ship many centuries before.. The airport (and road leading to the airport) is named after Thor, and the family still owns and operate the airport.
Okay, enough with the history lesson, on with the pics. Sorry for quality. Again, taken with my dad's company camera (3.2MP).. But it gets the job done.
The HH-65 Dolphin, based at Atlantic City.

Cockpit of said HH-65. (mostly glass)

A Foley Raymond RV-6, shortly after landing.

Snoopy (The Red Baron). Solberg is also the blimp base for the area.

These last two are my favorite. I love the green colors. It's an Army helicopter, I know that, but I can't remember the name.. Oh well. I'm sure someone here knows.
Hovering, just before landing.

Down safely.

Hope you enjoyed.
