We have everything there to have fun... the only that that's missing is a plane on floats  ;D

Beautiful llavalle...what lake is that and are you land locked?
I will be in Quebec City next week-end for two nights.
Have relatives there and then back to Ontario, hopefully the traffic won't be heavy on the 401.
You are right, a small amphibian would be the way to go :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

It's the "Lac des Grandes Baies"  in the city of "Nominingue"..
It's a medium size lake(7km in length)
I don't know what you mean by "Land Locked"... could you clarify?(English is not my 1st language)

For the airplane.. we don't have the money to buy a certified aircraft on floats... we're looking at Ultralights right now.. and I went to see the "Challenger II" at a local dealer... It's impressive compared to the C-172 I'm used to fly ;)  We'll probably buy one with "Puddle Jumpers" amphibious floats in the next 2-3years...

Hi llavalle :D

"Land Locked"  surrounded almost entirely or entirely by land.

Is there a river or other body of water that you can use to go from lake to lake?

I have a C172 now and looking to purchase another amphibian.
I was in Riviere-Du-Loup QC and Ste-Anne-Des-Monts QC not to very long ago.  I have relatives in Riviere-Du-Loup and I looked at a C185 on amphibious floats.  It sold two days later and went to the United States.  The owner never mentioned he had other purchasers looking at the aircraft.
I probably would not have met his price anyways, but if you see something you like...don't wait to long...it is a sellers market right now.
There is not much my way for sale unless you go further West towards Toronto, Brampton, London and Hamilton way.
Your idea of an ultra light sounds good and you could get yourself a Recreational Pilots Permit.  Not sure you have looked at that but it might be something to look at.
Have fun ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Well, in this case, we are almost "Land Locked"...

Depending on the boat you've got(with our 20' Jetboat, we can't) you can get to other lakes...

For the pilot license, I've got only 13h left to get my PPL, and I plan to get my Commercial Pilot License...  ;D
