The joys of being in the Air Training Corps lol!

It's a great organisation. Wish I'd had a camera when I was a cadet. I took some shots of the Merlin at Duxford if anyone would like to see them. Forgot all about them.

Nice pics Mark. It occured to me last week that its 10 years and 1 month since I joined the Spacies (Air Cadets...). Was it your first flight in the Tutor? Hope you enjoyed it... :)

Charlie it was my 4th flight i think.  I have also been up in Vigilant gliders 5 times, and I should be able to get my Gliding Scholarship next year.  What sqn did/do you attend and what rank are you/were you?

Nope. You can join the ATC as soon as you are 13


My bad...
someone told me i could only go flying etc when i was 14, so i joined then.... i dont think our unit takes anyone under 14 though lol....  :D

RDAF are gonna to use that heli instead of the S-61 (S-61 has been on active duty in 40 years now!)

Good choice. I suppose if it's good enough for the US President ("US101"), then it's probably good enough for most people... ;)

The merlin is one of the few truely new helicoptor designs currently avaliable.Its definatly the best in its class.
