Hi all,

I went & had a look at the 'Model Village' just near where I live today - hadn't been there for ages so I thought I'd take along my trusty camera.

1) A quick overview of the Model Village:

2) The railway bridge & white horse:

3) Er - mini buildings & regular humans:

4) 'Go lyke' Heliport:

5) House fire:

All of the models are made on the site & although the cars tend to look a bit naff (I think some have been there since 1963), most of the buildings & gardens are really quite cool.

Cheers,

TSC.

Is that Babbacombe? Don't know how I remembered that name. Haven't been there for about 30 years. Still looks nice. ;)

Cheeky. That's my yoof you're talking about. ::) :P They look a tad more modern than that to me.

Is that Babbacombe?

Absolutely correct Hagar, it is 'Babbacombe Model Village' in Torquay - top marks for recognition!!

Cheeky. That's my yoof you're talking about.

LOL!!!!!!!!!! What I was trying to say was that the modellers seem to put a lot more effort into the buildings than the vehicles.

Cheers,

TSC.

In Brussels we have the same thing. It's called Mini Europe. It exposes every capital city of Europe I think with all the famous buildings. Been a while since my last (and only) visit, but I remember it was pretty nice.

Nice, the only other ones to really rival it in the UK are Beaconsfield, and Legoland Windsor. Both are also nice (I like Legoland because of their lovely Tiger Moth model, I'll try to find a picture for Hagar ;D)
