and Two hangin around.

Each is totaly hand made, carved with sand paper, very light wieght, I dont like to make store bought stuff, so I buy styrafoam in bulk sheet, thats the main expence, and then its time and an eye for fun, for a good Cash tip I can make your plane, Usually takes me 3 to 4 days to build and finnish the project, but they are quite big, makes my friends who buy Kits look on with thier jaws open. I also make Merry go round Horses that look like Real horses.

I just checked out my previous StarDestroyer thread, And thanks for the nice replys.

Some times I buy it in large cut sheets, from a surply store that caters to plastics and refrigeration, a half inch thick 4 foot by 8 foot sheet is about $15.

Same size but 10 inch thick is $180. a sheet. thats in Australian Dollars.

I cut and modle as needed, a hack saw blade cuts well, a soldering Iron. Box cutter and the Hot melt glue gun is best, whatch the glue temp, always test it for melting on some scrap so you dont wreck your work, plug it in and heat it up to temp as needed.

Then for the smooth look, get a tub of ready mixed crack filler, the realy light stuff. and rub it over the moddle, then sand with a realy fine sand paper. I use the realy rough sand paper for quick shaping.

Tip of the day - Don't use Machines to sand it, the foam is to light in substance for ANY machine.

Makes lots of mess, so have the vacume ready. and always use a white cieling water paint to undercoat it. If you intend on painting with paint that will eat the foam, use 2 coats of PVC Wood glue to protect it, thats what covers the Stardestroyer.

Good Luck, and hope to see your work  ;D
