I think it's a matter of the photo's angle.   Technically, it's a TP-51D

they have been training for quite some time now. these were taken last year at Tyndall.

here's some info released during the latest ICAS event:
HERITAGE FLIGHT ADDITIONS FOR 2005

The popular and successful USAF Heritage Flight program will include a number of additions for the 2005 air show season.

Greg Anders from the Heritage Flight Museum in Bellingham, Washington became the program's newest civilian pilot after receiving the requisite training last weekend at the annual Heritage Flight training weekend at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson. Anders becomes the twelfth civilian Heritage Flight pilot.

The Air Force also announced that both the F-22 Raptor and the F-4 Phantom will be participating in Heritage Flight formations at air shows in 2005 on a very limited basis. The Raptor will fly in Heritage Flights at just three or four shows and those events have already been identified. The F-4 will participate in less than a dozen Heritage Flights and most of the shows in which it will participate have already been selected.

Many TF-51s have the extended V-Stab to correct airflow problems introduced by the extended canopy.

Great shot! Makes me want to see a shot with 'stang, Sabre, Super Sabre, Phantom, Eagle and Raptor. :)
