Hey everyone in celebration of our 60 yrs of freedom the bbmf Lanc paid us a visit. It took off from Soesterberg and went to Wageningen. Then It headed towards where we were (near schiphol) Of course ATC wanted some fun as well and stopped traffic for 2 mins so that the lanc could do a flypast near the tower. (YUP Schiphol an international airport ). It only made one flypast But man what a sound!! We were near a little museum Crash which holds all kinda artefacts of crashed planes from ww2 really a fun museum. However today was a busy day there so I am gonna return another day!

Close, the picture on the engine shows the Stirling, so I assume its a Bristol Hercules. A Centaurus would need a bloody big prop as well if it only had three blades...

Interesting museum. Glad the boys paid you a visit.

Nothing beats hearing the Merlin on-song

I'm rather fond of the RR Kestrel at full chat too. Mercury's nice as well...
