Jets at Sunset at KEWR- from my living room
Recently decided to try to shoot a few pics from my 4th-floor living room windows; my bldg. is just NW of KEWR, and many aircraft can be seen passing by. These were taken on 2 consecutive days...
I used my old Canon 35mm SLR with an equally old Lentar 400mm 1:6:3 telephoto, on a tripod. Unfortunately, all the huge windows are made with 1/2" thick plexiglass and can't be opened (original ones rotted away ages ago), so there are some flaws visible. I might try to fix 'em later, but ... When it gets warmer maybe I'll open a window in my room (also faces east) and get some cleaner shots. But some of these are nice, with the sunset-lit clouds and all. Someday I hope to catch an elusive 747; they tend to climb out much shallower, making for some awesome pictures. One was roaring off Rwy 04 as I got home, which inspired me to take these photos, but of course it was the last of the day (Virgin to London, I think).
I'm not much of an airliner guy (they all look the same to me), so excuse my errors in identification, and feel free to help me here...
First is a Continental 737(?) landing on 22 (right, I think). The skylines of Jersey City and NYC can be seen below.

A Continental 777 (?) departing Rwy 04 Left .
This one is tough; def. Continental, but I dunno
the type. Embraer? Fokker? DC9? Anyway,
they're on final for 29, with the Verrazano
Narrows Bridge visible beyond.[align=right]
United 767(?) off Rwy 04...
Continental 767(?), Rwy 29 again.

Another big Continental, farther out on approach for 29. That's the Pulaski Skyway below; connects Newark and the NJ Turnpike
to the Holland Tunnel.
A Continental Boeing w/ a very odd but
nice paint job...
