I doubt that this was taken in Afghanistan and under combat conditions. Looks more like a training somewhere in the US.

I'll bet that was one heck of an ego-booster for that pilot, and I bet he was the talk of the base for awhile after that... 8)

seen this before. Looks more like evacuation than insertion. As to its location, it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was in Afghanistan.

There's some very good video around from 7 Sqn (I think) RAF who had lots of fun doing this in Afghanistan...

Thats in 'ghanistan, and it looks as if they are taking out a heavy piece of equipment, judging by the way those guys are looking inside of it.
I've often tried to do stuff like that in FS but its too damn pragmatic and always seems to 'detect'a 'crash'  ::)

I am still going to say evacuation. If you look at the person in the black jacket, hes walking into the back of the helicopter wearing non military gear compaired to the other guys. Then if you look at the two soldiers behind them it looks like they have another person with them, it impossible to tell their clothing but it looks like again it might not be military spec, and they are motioning towards pushing that person onto the chinook. Also i dont know if they would be taking out some heavy equiptment as you can see they had to use a ladder(foreground) to get onto the roof of the building. Just some thoughts.
