Hendon - my version

Postby Hagar » Wed Jan 05, 2005 2:31 pm

Here's a few shots from our Hendon trip that Ozzy missed.

Now I ask you. Would you trust this lot near one of your aeroplanes, let alone a whole collection of them? Now you can see just what I had to put up with all day. :-/ ;D
Image

I had to put my camera on infra-red mode to catch these two reprobates plotting to purloin that lump of Merlin. (Not really but the lighting was terrible. That's my excuse anyway. ;))
Image

I'm still trying to figure out how Tony managed to get in the gunner's position - or how he got out again. ::) ;)
Image

Here's a slightly better shot of that nice Me 262.
Image

Here's one I posted in the Cafe in case you missed it. Ozzy drooling over another Merlin. Honestly, you need eyes in the back of your head. :o ::)
Image

I lightened up Mark's shot of Tony & me playing silly wotsits just after I did my best to demolish the place. :o At least you can see it's us now. 8)
Image

A beautiful sunset from the museum car park. If you look closely you can see a replica Spitfire & Hurricane.
Image

A very enjoyable trip & a lot of laughs. Thanks chaps for a wonderful day out. ;D

PS. I'm not sure they'll let me back in there in a hurry. Maybe I'd better leave it for a while or wear a disguise. 8)

The WW2 aircraft in pic #2 is slightly distubing, since it covers some parts of the nice Tornado. ;)
Same goes for shot 3. The poor Schwalbe....;D

Methinks we'll need stick-on beards and false noses to get back in again Doug ;)
But agreed it was a totally brilliant day out ;D ;D ;D

Is Ozzy stroking the engine? Did it purr?

And look at that spitfire... It's wings almost fit in the tail of the tornado... Boy, puts the planes in perspective.... :o

I was thinking that if Ozzy and the engine were reversed, it would be Ozzy doing the purring!

Thanks to this sentence I feel that I shall be mentally scarred for life. Well, moreso than I am already. :o

It could be worse Woody. In my twisted mind the engine is running. :o ;)

I must express my confusion as to what exactly marmalade would be if not orange... ::) :)

You forgot lime & grapefruit. :P ;)

I have to agree with Woody. Most of the others would be jam (or jelly on your side of the big  puddle).
