My air show photos 1

I've been saving all my photos to a remote drive to free up some HD space. Here's a few I took at the Shoreham RAFA display back in August 04, the first time I used my new camera in anger. Some might look familiar but these have all been reprocessed from the original images.

After looking through this lot my trigger finger is itching. Roll on the Spring. ;)

the last one is really cool! I thought it was this Mustang which damaged it's gear after the Air Tattoo in july 04...but now I see it flying here...it was probably Big Beautiful Doll.  ;)

Thanks Bones. That last shot is one of my favourites. It prints out nicely. ;)

BBD was also at Shoreham in August. I think there are several in that scheme so it might not have been the same one. I'm sure Charlie will enlighten us if he sees this.

Nice if someone would do a repaint of the Real Air Spit in this scheme...

at ATCbox.com there you can find a nice high quality video of this spit in formation with some F-16's taken during a "missing man" formation flight a few weeks ago. on ATCbox.com you can find dozens of very good videos, but you have to register to have acces to them.  ;)

It's a Hunting Percival Pembroke. Military version of the Prince. This one was used for transporting the top brass.

You'd be best asking at Classic British Flight Sim...

http://classic-sky.co.uk/cbfsimV3/index.php

If he wasn't so busy this is a great one Rick Piper of Meteor and JP etc. fame could do...

I'm sure there was one for an earlier version of FS...

There's a Pembroke for FS2000 here. http://www.simviation.com/fs2000props34.htm
it would probably be OK in FS2002 & CFS2 but not FS9.

What a strange name, but that seems to be typically british. Ugly names for nice looking aircraft et vice versa. ;D

Charlie, I might sign up there and ask for one. But I think there won't be anyone out there who wants to model a VC version. ;)

You'd be surprised - they're a very proud bunch and like there high quality (mostly British) aircraft there.

Hunting Percival is the name of the company. Originally Percival Aircraft Ltd. founded by an Australian named Edgar Percival. http://www.pilotfriend.com/aircraft%20performance/Percival/gallery.htm

Pembroke is the name of a town in Wales. Many British military types are named after towns. Most Percival aircraft names started with the letter P. So there you have it. Quite logical really. :D :)
