rgr, wonderful takeoff...

I believe that's the same picture that I have seen on Plane & Pilot Magazine awhile back...unfortunately the name of the airport escapes me.. :-(

I really doubt you'd find this on FS9. :)

Although, it's be a hilarious scenery!

If you see the 3 wheeled tire tracks on the strip even further down? Obviously he wasn't the first!  :D

I would also venture that this picture has a little play on the mind. Look at the picture again, factor in the hills faded in the background, and imagine everything 'flatter' to the earth. Instead of the far end being the top of the hill, it is more like a dropoff. That, and the vegitation seems to be growing a little towards the camera instead of 'up'.

If you look at the people at the top of the hill, it looks like the camera was level in this shot. I've heard of strips like this- you t/o downhill and land uphill regardless of wind. But that hump in the middle-woah! I'll bet this plane was not quite at Vr yet at the moment the pic was made...

That shot was in a movie. Cant recall the name. It is not an airstrip , it is a dirt road. In Brazil Jungle I think,not sure on name Brazil. You should see the landing shot. The pilot landed to pick up 2 people. I still have the movie somewhere.
