Hello all...

If you haven't figured it out by now...I am pretty Navy oriented.

Do have a question for you though...how was the food on them floating airfields, so so, great or rather be on a sub ;D ;D ;DLOL

Nice pics :) I especially like the KA-6 tanker shots, you may say i'm a little A-6 biased ;) but 14s rock as well!!! ;D

Those pics bring back alot of memories.  I did one major deployment each on the USS America and the USS Enterprise in the early 1980s.  Food wasn't too bad (steak and lobster on a few occasions). We ate lots of roast beef too.  My job was maintenance of weapons systems on A-6 Intruders.

Dude, those are some sweet shots.  As much as I enjoyed the time I was able to spend on the Lincoln in '97 and as much as I love the Hornet... it still would have been awesome to be able to see a 'Cat launch and recover.  Awesome aircraft.

That's actually an A-6E (regular bomber version) with a "buddy store" on the centerline.  The aircraft is also carrying empty multiple ejector racks (MERs) and drop tanks.

The A-6 Intrider is my favorite post 50's military aircraft, foloowed by the F-14, the F-16 and the Mig 29
