It's kinda cool how the plane is almost framed by the fence. And the sun makes them all the better.

Good work ken. My cousin gave me a tip about fences(hes a professional photographer for the army) something about a specific distance and it wont appear, i am guessing a little closer than you were. But with a plane that size any closer isnt an option without a wide angle. I personally like the lense flare and cant wait to see some more results from your trip out.

the last one is taken with the lens against the fence, all the others are taken through a small gap it...probably made by other spotters.

thanks everybody for the replies! ;)

Those chain-link fences can be a darned nuisance. Mind you, they're better than the 10 foot high solid monstrosities all around Gatwick these days. >:(

Nice Bone...very nice...the cockpit, well typical Russian 6 man crew and spacious, crews quarters to the rear and upper level.  The only thing I didn't like was the ladder going up to the cockpit but it is what you get used to I guess.
Again...very nice...thanks for posting it :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
