Duxford statics 2

Postby Hagar » Mon Oct 11, 2004 10:49 am

It's great to see the RNHF Sea Fury back on the display circuit at last. I like this classic beast of an aeroplane almost as much as Ozzy likes his Spitfires. ::)
Shame I missed it arriving - a sad case of finger-trouble on my part. Left the lens cap on. :-[
I rushed down the flightline & caught it being refuelled. I was there to catch it being towed into the static park. An ideal opportunity for some unusual close-ups. Hope you like 'em.

I caught it later taxying out to take off. If I'm not mistaken someone not a million miles away from this forum is in shot. ;)

Now the question is which hairy scalp is Charlie? ;D

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

nice crispy shots Doug! nice prop blur too in the last one.
oh, if you want to get rid of the lens cap problem, you should by a DLSR...if the cap is still on, you won't see a thing through it so you never forget to remove it! helped me out alot in the past.  ;)

After the Spitfire the Sea Fury has to be the greatest piston engined fighter of them all, awesome aircraft. Not see the RNHF Fury for something like four years. Great photos pal.
