Air show memories

I've been looking through my air show photos to cheer myself up on a rotten day.* Lots of photos & nice memories to go with them so I thought I would post a few to share them. First, one of my favourite spots on this planet. Old Warden on a perfect day to set the scene.

A couple from Duxford the same weekend.

These are from Biggin Hill 2 weeks ago.

Finally, the Old Warden Spitfire in a clear blue sky for Ozzy.

*PS. Hope it's better next week. One more show at Duxford before I have to find something else to photograph.

You really have set a new standard for airshow photos this year Hagar old pal and made me at least take a good look at some of my stuff and aim to get better results. Great shots and I'm sure some great memories.

Lovely pictures Doug - tis a shame there is no Old Warden October show this year , but never mind, i'll pop off to Duxford instead. Shame to see the US reg on the B-25, I suppose it shan't be with us much longer.

Lets hope the rest are here to stay, and that the wing tips are taken off AR501 as soon as...

Thanks chaps. I might post more later. Groan, groan, I hear you mumble. ;) It's no use complaining. You don't have to look at 'em. :P ;D

Might see you there. I'll have to look out for a smart officer-type chappie wearing some bright shining new wings. :P Well done old chap. I'm proud of you. :D

It might not be authentic but I prefer it with those "proper" perfectly proportioned elliptical wingtips. You leave 'em alone. :o :)

At least it's got its proper propeller back. Try saying that 10 times quickly after a few pints.

:D Thanks! I'm not that smart all of the time! Its nice to have some time off work after 8 months training!

So do I, but having brought up bottle fed on Old Warden since the age of -6 months, they look out of place on AR501, I just can't get used to 'em... It's a bit like the Red Arrows being painted Blue... ???

I shall, if one is not on the floor already after 3 and a 1/2... :) :P
