More Warbirds.....

I liked the photos in the "More Warbirds" thread, so here are my shots taken last March at Tyabb near Melbourne in Victoria Australia.

Supermarine Spitfire Mk VIII:

6 CAC Mustangs and 1 NA built Mustangs, this is all the airworthy Mustangs in Australia!

Oh, and lastly, STANDING near a runway threshold you may have to duck occaisionally!!!!!!!

Lovely stuff, I especially like Grey Nurse, one of the finest looking flying Spits in the world 8)

Man that formation....Those sounds Im sure were about as fun as being at Hefner's mansion and havign all of the babes flock to you.

Thanks guys, the comments are really appreciated.
The formation of Mustangs was  just simply stunning to see! Mind you just behind the Mustangs were the Boomerang & Spitfire, then 2 T-28's, 5 Harvards & another 3 odd Yak 52's.........
I have the flypast on Video (DVD cam camcoder) & yeah the sound of 7 merlins = drool material.
The only thing that was Missing was P-40N VH-KTI, but the P-40's were not left out as there is a P-40F in the hangar that was behind the Spitfire in the photo above:

Ozzy, not sure where ya are in Aust, but if you get the chance, I'd pop over to Wangaratta in Vic, where VH-KTI is based as there is not only that P-40, but 3 more under restoration, plus 5 P-39's, a Vought Kingfisher & two Douglas Bostons.........
One more for ya mate ;)
