Over the fence

While trying to make some sense of the vast number of shots I've taken over the last few days I found this nice sequence. "Ferocious Frankie" arriving over the fence. Don't know what went wrong or even remember taking them all. I can only think I must have been quicker on the trigger than usual. ::) ;)

This sort of thing suits me & my camera. Must be all the practice I've had hanging around at the end of the runway.* Pity I didn't get a few more like it.

*PS. My favourite spot is by the road sign directly above the nose in shot #1. Nobody is allowed there during the show for obvious reasons.

Some amazing pics there Doug. I had Photoshop open and thought I'd just try something. This literally took me two minutes but I think it makes the pic look even better.

Sharpened and warmed slightly. That's it ;)

Thanks Jon. I don't usually like enhancing photos but must admit that's quite an improvement. I knew it was slightly out of focus. Maybe I'll have a go with the original some time. Most of the shots I've posted over the last few days were taken with my new camera. They were quickly cropped/resized for uploading here without further post-processing.  On the whole I'm delighted with how they turned out. ;)

John's result makes alot of noise visible. i think that with adapting the levels a bit, you'll come alot further!

Yup, that's very true. I'll have another go later.

Jon. Check this out. I had a quick play with the original image in PSP7. (I've posted the URL as this thread is already over the limit.) http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/darafa04-psp50a.jpg

It would take me a year to mess around with every shot I've taken over the last few days. If you're interested in enhancing photos I have plenty you could have a go at. ;)

I know how lucky I am Bones. I did see your RIAT shots but must have commented in another thread. Your B-2 shot is impressive. That's one aircraft I have yet to see.

Question for our merlinonphites ....

Given that Merlins powered the Spitfire, Hurricane and Mustang (among others, but for sake of argument let's keep it it these three), would each type have a "sound" of it own (again, understanding that different variants would power a given type/variant).

As you say, it depends on the variant but they each have their own unique sound to me. The Mustang sounds quite different to a Spitfire. They're all beautiful. ;)

Nicely done Doug! Much less noise than in mine, but then I didn't spend very long on it. If you've got some photos as good as that one (and I'm sure you have) I'd love to have a go at practicing editing on them.

That only took me a couple of minutes. I could spend hours on it before being satisfied. I really don't have the time or inclination to mess around. In the end it's all a matter of preference anyway. In most cases I think I like the original better. ::) ;)

Well, I could do that myself. The idea was to improve some that are NOT so good as that one before I dump them. I have plenty much worse than that to choose from. :P ;D

A slightly unusable "wreck" parked next to an open rubbish bin, posted about a year or so ago, comes to mind... :)
