The 2 RAF Harriers have been a familiar sight around here for the past few weeks. I popped into the airport this morning to say goodbye.

Started up & ready to go. Bye chaps. It's been great

A last look before they depart for home. Traditional beat up of the tower. They were reprimanded last year for flying too low. This was the shot I really wanted but I went & messed it up - again. >:(
Ah well, it's better than the patch of empty sky I expected. ;)

Fantastic. These wonderful machines never cease to amaze & impress me. It's hard to believe that the Harrier first flew over 40 years ago at Dunsfold just a few miles from here. The crew told me they have one more show before the end of the display season. With all the defence cuts going on I'm not sure when or if I'll see them again. ::)

;D ;D ;D You will see them again next year Doug, the great thing about the GR7/GR9's is the Airforce love displaying them. Stunning shots, I would be very grateful if i could have large copies of the 1st 3rd and last shots please.
Great work as always mate.

Nice shots Doug, the last one turned out pretty good.  It looks like the pilot in #2 was looking right at you when you took the photo (but you must have been a ways away)-that shot came out nice.  They look good.

The good old bow to the crowd? not from what has been said. Then again if latest inside reports are to be believed, the F-35 may not be doing anything for the british forces at all ::) however i cant go into details, partially because what i have right now is sketchy and also partially my dad wants me to keep my mouth shut :-X LOL
