For those who may have appreciated my Bonanza study a while ago, here is another. This time a bit more of a rare subject, introducing......the Republic Seabee.........

First time I saw one of these was at the Aviation Expo. It was all polished aluminum. Very sharp. Speaking of flying boats, there's a Lake Renegade that keeps flying over my house now. I'll have to get some pictures next time he's out.

Notice on the tailplane photo that the trim tab moves opposite the elevator motion ..

great shots ken, and i have a little sugestion, either for you or the mods, but i think this topic, and the bonanza one, since detailed pictures and all are shown, should be made sticky in the 3D design area...or the pics uploaded somewhere so designers can take reference on these.....you have no idea how hard it is to find walkaround pictures of many models.

awesome shots!

happy flying!

Great shots Ken!

Would you remember the Seabee that was at Kingcity along with the C150 and C172 all owned by the same fellow?
Nice aircraft, we took the whole runway at Kingcity to take off and if you remember we always took off towards the north because of the steep slope of the runway at that end.
I also believe there was a Seabee at Maple for awhile but don't remember to much about it.
By the way I haven't forgot all your help with my search for the Volmer VJ22 and I have had some info on it and am expecting more from a group in the United States.
Is your friend still flying his?
What is your personal opinion of it if you don't mind me asking...I have never been in one but I fell in love with the dam thing the first time I saw one at Maple.
The old girl thinks I am nuts but there is something about that aircraft I like and I don't know what it is...perhaps it is just the versatility of the aircraft even though it is a two seater.
Won't ramble on any more...thanks for your time and help :)

Cheers... Happy Landings...Doug

There is actually a website dedicated to aircraft walk-arounds, consisting of donated photos.

Looks like your airport managers are on top of the parking tickets! No free parking there. ;D

A former boss of mine owned a SeeBee and this thing was sharp.  I the shape was ugly, but what saved it was a cool paint scheme in the corporate colors and a stereo system that was tapped into the intercom.  You could listen to stereo quailty music through the headsets.  Very nice.... ;D

That's a Republic Seabee amphibian, made by the same company that made the P-47 Thunderbolt.
