Nice one Lemoncat. That beautiful silver Hunter T.7 (T.8? ) is much like the one I flew in back in 1959. You don't see many in those markings nowadays.

I visited Elvington some years ago before the museum was established. Must have been in the 1980s when I was interested in electric powered R/C models. The only thing I remember about it is the verrrry long runway. :o ;)

yes hagar it's the t7 words aren't enough to discribe this fantastic jet..this one had a modification done some time ago and made to seat two side by side and something about the nose being longer too...some lucky person won the raffle they held..yes you guessed it..a ride in it now how lucky is that

The T.7 always had side-by-side seating but I thought the nose looked different. The Hunter has always been my favourite jet. Getting a flight in one at the age of 16 was a dream come true. I always said I was born lucky. 8) ;)

mmmm 2 seat Jaguar - lurvely,

Like Doug in a Hunter in '59, I was (very) lucky enough to have a nice jaunt in the back of one of these before Mr Hoon pensions them off.... When Colt closes it will be a sad day for the RAF :(
