Sorry its not planes, but.......WOW !
Posted: Fri Aug 20, 2004 9:30 pmToday, Wendy and I decided to go for a drive up into the island and head for some Pacific access........I know there had been some hub-bub around Gold River lately, so off we went..........
We found this nice little airport, well, not really an airport but a good sheltered floatplane base with a couple of vintage bush planes....I'm sure you all can ID these two which I found at Air Nootka..........
But here is what we came to try to get a shot of......anyone got any ideas ?
Careful there, someone wants to play a bit !
........and play he did, this poor fellow got taken for a ride......
........and in the middle of all this commotion, we were privledged to hear the bark of the old radial as it lifted the local Beaver into the air........
The splashing was too close to ignore so I tried again only to miss with a slow shutter trigger.......
Wendy went to the other side to see if she could get a better vantage point to capture our elusive subject.....that's her on the dock, behind that boat across from me......
