Worlds end

I've suddenly come over all artistic. Never been known before. :o

I was having a quiet pint with an artist friend at a local pub the other evening - as you do. ;)
(He's a proper artist - canvas, brushes, paint & all that stuff.) He pointed out an aircraft with a contrail aimed directly at the moon. Said it would make a nice picture. I doubt that I would have spotted it as I was facing him across the table. I've been experimenting with my camera & took a few shots on different settings with the sign in the picture to see how they would come out. The pub is named Worlds End which seemed appropriate. Pity the contrail in the first one disappeared before I took the shot. Never mind, it came out better than I expected.

PS. Blame Ozzy for this. He said I should post them. ;)

Thanks Craig - & steelx too for at least taking the trouble to comment. ;)

Maybe now you get some idea of why everyone thinks I'm weird. ::) I've always been like this so perhaps they're right. :o ;D 8)

I wish I was dead. :P ;)

Never mind Doug...!
Dont get too depressed... ::)...!
I can spend hours in my back garden, lying flat on my back, cuddling a glass of vino, and looking at the Moon... :)...!
It does wonders for the constitution...(and the occasional bowel movement)... 8)...!

Cheers Doug... ;D...!

Paul.

I thought the photo's were really good... ;)...!
Like Ozzy... A pub sign, lying flat on the back, dribbling, and looking at the Moon always brings back hazy memories... 8)...!

Yeh should have seen the moon saturday night. I was mid channel at the time, so you could see the sun going down in the west, while watching the moon rise from the east. And the moon was really awesome, it rose red, then turned orange and yellow and finally it's normal silvery colour as it got higher and higher.

Dougs pictures are of a similar thing, just not with a full moon. Good photo's though.

Hi Woody...!
Blimey, the three of us, Doug, you, and me must have been at the same pub, lying flat on our backs, a glass of Fosters in our hands, looking up at the moon... 8)...!
The sort of thing you do on a Saturday night.. ;)...!
The three of us must do this more often... ;D...!
Sounds good to me... 8)...!

Cheers Woody... ;D...!

Paul.!

Thanks chaps. Maybe I'm not alone after all. Your kind comments make me feel better. I don't stay depressed for long which is just as well really. ;)

Come to think of it, I took those shots on Saturday so it's the same moon Woody was looking at. I heard on the radio we were due for blue moon, whatever that is, so maybe that explains it. ::)

Sounds good to me Foz. How about next Saturday. Your choice of venue this time. ;D

Well, my view was just north of the east bound shipping lane in the English channel. And I can truthfully say that there isn't a pub there. So Fozzer, you choice of location. ;D

I think that camera has become like your third leg - I suspect you have a pocket in your pajamas for it in case something should happen during the night.
