Fair's in town

Lock up your daughters........! Summer's here at last, school's out & the fair's in town. ;D
OK, it's not Disney, heck it's not even Blackpool but I've loved the atmosphere of a fair since I was knee-high to a gnat. This one has been coming here every year since I can remember. The prices might have gone up but some things never change. I think some of the rides are the same ones I went on as a kid. I've been waiting for this chance to experiment with my camera so here's a few of my more interesting shots.

I was driving so I couldn't sample this young lady's wares tonight. I shall return - tomorrow. ;)

The first and third are very artistic. Don't let Ozzy drink the cider and ride the tilt-a-wurrl.  :o

Why not, those rides are 100% safer than his old warbird junk, the rides actually have seatbelts, something which was not invented back in the Spitfire days

Thanks chaps. I posted these cos I thought they looked artistic & different from ordinary snapshots. There were plenty of chicks of all ages. Very pretty they looked too dressed up in all their finery. I did take a few shots but being a grey-haired old geezer I have to be careful. They might take offence & have me arrested as a pervert. Unfortunately this is one thing that has changed since my day.

PS. Spitfires were fitted with a Sutton harness like all RAF aircraft of the period. This was a full harness as you would expect of a service type but a little less complicated than the modern equivalent. The fastening is a pin & clip with adjustment by a selection of holes in the webbing. It actually works very well.

Not sure I can handle it. The sign says something about 65%. :o

Now I know a little more about how the shots come out I might venture down there again tonight. This time I'll try to take some better ones. ;)
