The camera never lies

Digital image editing is so common these days that we all know this is no longer true - if it ever was. This series of shots I took on Saturday morning proves that what we see in those TV documentaries is not always what it seems. A documentary is being made about a German bomber pilot shot down by a RAF Beaufighter in 1942.* The German pilot flew over to Shoreham on Saturday to meet up with his old adversary. While he is a very experienced pilot & qualified flying instructor he is now in his late eighties. The Mooney he arrived in was actually flown by one of his ex-pupils, now a commercial pilot. With a little old-fashioned editing I suspect the documentary will show him piloting it. Just goes to prove what I always say - don't believe everything you see on TV. ;)

This first shot was taken soon after the party arrived from Germany.

Now - this is what happened some time later. The shots are in sequence.

Lovely shots Hagar, I think we'll have to keep leaning on Exploder to keep us informed ;)
