Went to the Canadian Aviation Expo today at Oshawa Airport in lovely Oshawa Ontario. Plenty of stuff there even a FS2004 display. They had payware aircraft CDs for sale too but it's just way too expensive.

Lots of nice aircraft to look at. Airplane rides too but it was a tad too windy for one today.

This one looks live a Harvard (aka Texan) trainer to me.

Neat, you went? I was thinking of going, but I alredy went two years ago. I was actualy going to ask if any Ontario people were going to go.

P.S I thought the ride for the Harvard was $40?

The $40 was for sightseeing in a standard C172.

That Tiger Moth looks like the one from Brampton to me.......

..........I recall one there with the Canadian winter hood on it...........

Yup; this one's a Harvard from the CHAA. The Yale had large spats over the U/C; easily identified.

Lucky you; Iroquois - I was planning to go to the Expo this year but ran out of green meal - oh well; there's always next year.

I forgot all about it...got to start writing things down on the calender

thats it, the yale. but look, thiso ne has no gear bay and the gear struts are painted, and no sign of them retracting or anything....

one more thing, is it just me or is the one in the last pic one of the piper Malibu family? has low wing, tricycle gear...

Have another look Ace. The gear bay is quite clear in the shot. Also the bulge in the leading edge of the wing root to take the wheel. The gear retracts inwards with no doors.

The Fargo Air Museum was offering rides in a Mustang for the bargain Basement price of $750.00.  I would have paid it....  ::)

Yeah; they're very easily mistaken for one another; one of the things that gets folks mistaking the Harvard for the Yale is its spindly-looking undercarriage. In fact; they're pretty beefy when you see them up close; just don't have the undercart doors to make them look bigger.
