It was found at an old abandoned airfield in Grenada.
Looks like Cuban markings.
A friend snapped the picture and we were wondering what airplane it is.
I assume it must be Russian, but that's about all.

Good eyes! That's an Antonov An-24 operated by Cubana.

Strewth that 24 does NOT look well

The propellers appear to have rotted. I'd guess this is some sort of chemical reaction

yes, the old girl is not far from the beach and prevailing winds bring that salt air in.
She is in very sad shape... :-[
