Can anyone ID this old buggy?

Postby MichaelH » Sun May 16, 2004 9:06 pm

It was found at an old abandoned airfield in Grenada.
Looks like Cuban markings.
A friend snapped the picture and we were wondering what airplane it is.
I assume it must be Russian, but that's about all.

Good eyes!  That's an Antonov An-24 operated by Cubana.
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Strewth that 24 does NOT look well :o
The propellers appear to have rotted. I'd guess this is some sort of chemical reaction :(
