really does proove the A340 hairdryers for engines theory. And that engine is still smaller than the 777's GE90.

bad plane to compare the engines with. the A340 has really small engines, compared to other jets (or ETOPS jets). like Craig said, i think the 777 engine is bigger. i'd prefer to see the A380 engine tested under an A330 ;)

Well the A340-200/300 has indeed those small CFM56-5 engines, but the longer 500/600 series are equipped with the Trent's 553, which are bigger
