That's a fair old tide there, about what, 8 meters?

Similar things happen when I put my overweight dog in the bath... ;D

I heard about a place in Canada called the Bay of Fundy and the difference between the tide level can be over 60 ft! But that's still far  ;D

I think I have read that we get 16-17 foot tides here....low tide shows a trickle in the river, and high tide makes it look like a small lake.........young kids can get caught playing on the sand quite easily......just ask Wendy....... ;)

The tidal range in the Bristol channel is the second larges in the world at over 50ft. Thats the sort of tidal difference you notice. ;D
