These beautiful photos were taken by Steve Trillwood at one of the Shuttleworth displays last year.

I haven't been to Old Warden for many years. It looks well worth a visit. The first display of the 2004 season is on May 2nd. http://www.militaryairshows.co.uk/ven1.htm

Charismatic shots of the Hurricane. This must have been a familiar sight in the summer of 1940.

Again, fantastic pics. Hagar, were these taken last year? I only ask because TFC's B-25 has been missing from the display scene for the last three years and is up for sale. Hope it stays in the UK.

A truly great collection of WW2 they have there!

I especially like the nice house in the background. The man living there must be one hell of a happy buggar! ;D

They are rather special aren't they? ;)
Not sure when they were taken as Steve's site is temporarily unavailable. Fortunately I saved these when I first found him. He gave me permission to post as many as I wish.

I assume it's the original home of Richard Shuttleworth who started the collection. I doubt that anyone lives there now. http://www.24hourmuseum.org.uk/museum_gfx_en/AM13722.html

Many RAF airfields would have been just like this during the BoB. The country mansions would have been requisitioned for use as officers billets. The NCO pilots would have had poorer accomodation, sometimes in tents.

Fantastic Doug!
I haven't been to see the Shuttleworth collection for quite a few years. Maybe its time to get back up there....
