Here is the F4 I mentioned earlier:

This plane is about too undergo restoration soon!
As you can tell by the pics it was stationed aboard the USS Midway.
The neat part about this is that not too long ago a man stopped by the Prarie Museum because as he past by noticed the F4 sitting outside.
Oddly enough this man last flew in a F4 on his way home to the U.S. . The F4 took off from the USS MIDWAY! Imagine the look on this guys face when he realized that this plane he just happened upon was from the Midway!
I still am uncertain as too what the possiblility( but then again what was the chances that he would just come across this plane?)  is that this was the plane he flew off the carrier on, I'll let you know as soon as I find out.
As you can plainly see she is in bad shape( the military wanted to be sure she could never fly again!) and allot of hard work will be put into her, but as plans are now when   the restoration is complete, they hope too have a dedication to her with the man who flew her as a special guest!
It is sad that it takes private organizations and volunteers to have too pay the cost for such undertakings. But I'm greatful to the people who put in the effort to "save" these beautiful planes for generations to enjoy!

Nice Shot :)

It is to bad that so many Aeroplanes end up as Gate Guardians and in need of repair.

The Museum I volunteer at had two aircraft damaged by Vandals, they were never caught and it is going to cost time and money to repair :( :( :( :(

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Damn fools that is what buildings are for!!!!!!
Nothing more I hate than a bunch of idiots with no respect for the past and the hard work people put into keeping it alive!
I hope that they eventually catch the bastards that did that and for thier punishment make them help pay for and do the repairs! Maybe then they will have a new found respect for something others enjoy enough that they offer thier time and money keeping it available for all to enjoy!
