Sunset of 9/10/01
Posted: Sat Jan 17, 2004 9:30 pmSeeing Fret's beautiful sunset photo made me remember this shot, which I took on the evening of September 10th, 2001.
Ironically, weeks later I realized that this was the last sunset that thousands of people here in NY would ever see, for the next morning was September 11th.
Looking back, it was almost as if this last sunset on the way things used to be needed to be brilliant so that we'd always remember those days.
The sun rose, however, to a much, much different world.
(Taken with a very crappy digital camera, due to my lack of film on such short notice.)
