Calgary Skyline with Chinook Arch

I flew to Toronto last weekend and as we left Calgary there was a real good Chinook Arch in the sky.

For those of you who do not know what a Chinook Arch is, it's a front of warm air that gets pushed down from the Rockys and it makes a very distinct cloud line. The temperature will rise very quickly when we get one. For example...we got another one on Monday and during the night it went from -1 to +14 at 7 a.m.! During the day yesterday it got up to 25 Degrees celcius. Its nice when we get one and it warms up to 15 degrees celcius in December!

This pic was taken shortly after takeoff...

Sweet pic, as for those 15+ degree days in december... I hate them. I much prefer the 30 below days.
